PointCPD is online CPD for builders. Short, interactive modules on NSW CPD topics, made to do on your phone between jobs.
Why we built it
Most builder CPD is a chore. Long PDFs, passive videos, a quiz at the end, nothing you would use on site.
The points are a by-product. The learning is the point. Our modules use real site scenarios and decisions, and the assessment checks you understood it. You still get your 12 points.
How our modules work
- One screen at a time. Mobile-first, big tap targets, progress saved after every section. Stop mid-module on Tuesday, pick it up Thursday, on a different device if you like.
- Interactive, not passive. Scenario decisions, drag-and-drop sequencing, tap-the-defect site photos, and quick checks along the way that tell you immediately when you are wrong — and why.
- An assessment that means something. 80% to pass, unlimited attempts, and per-question feedback that points you back at the section you need. Not a shot at guessing.
- Evidence the moment you finish. Points bank instantly and a serial-numbered PDF certificate lands in your inbox, recording the course, its CPD topic, the duration, the assessment and the points earned.
- A ledger, not a shoebox. Your dashboard shows exactly where you stand against the 12 points NSW requires, which renewal year each module counts toward, and how many days you have left.
Who it is for
For licensed builders and swimming pool builders in NSW who need 12 CPD points before licence renewal and would rather not lose a weekend.
Also for the builder who wants the technical detail: the detailing that stops a callback, the clause that decides who pays.
NSW first, and only, for now
NSW requires 12 CPD points a year, up to 11 carried forward, across eight topic areas. Our content is written and reviewed against that scheme.
We focus on NSW. CPD rules differ between states, so every course is written for the NSW scheme. The rules we work to are set out in full, with sources.
How our points work
Each course shows its points value and covers a topic NSW recognises. NSW CPD is self-recorded, so you keep the certificate we issue and produce it if you are audited. Our full position explains how it works.
Every course is reviewed by a licensed Building Practitioner before it goes live, and each sign-off is recorded. It is information you rely on for a licence renewal, so that step is never skipped.
