Contracts CPD courses for NSW builders
Contract terms, variations, extensions of time and payment claims that hold up.
Contracts is an approved NSW CPD topic area, and NSW’s example is simply “contract terms”. Underneath that sit the things that actually decide whether you get paid: how a variation has to be documented under the Home Building Act, what an extension of time claim needs to say, what a progress claim can and cannot include, and how to evaluate a tender or a trade quote without being caught by what it leaves out.
These courses use the contract paperwork builders in NSW actually sign and work through it clause by clause with worked examples. The aim is not to turn you into a lawyer. It is to make sure the document you rely on says what you think it says before there is an argument about it.
Each course is a 1 point per hour activity under the NSW scheme, filed under Contracts on your certificate. How the scheme counts, carries and audits points is in the NSW builder CPD guide.
